Our Deepest Convictions and Faith
|
Conscientious Objections
There exists so much divide in our world and on social media. There are a plethora of posts pointing fingers. Many present as rude, condescending and hateful to those who don't share in the poster's opinion. Rare is the search for common ground, or understanding.
The way to resolve the state of turmoil is to stop with the bickering, finger pointing and name calling and try to find a solution using kindness, words, and reflection. Perspective is key to progressing toward peace. Any one solution will not please everyone. No solution ever has. There needs to be compromise. There needs to be analysis. When we consider all possible causes and options even if we don't like them or feel they will work, we start to recognize that each person has value and merit and the focus shifts from our differences to our similarities. We can't change the perspectives of others until we all agree to open our own minds too many opinions and consider all sides. Respectful communication using facts will yield stronger willingness by everyone to educate themselves rather than only defend their own ideas.
